Synergy Youth – “Where the creation of a whole is greater than the simple sum of its parts”
Here at Lincoln Baptist Church we are passionate about seeing young people grow to know God and explore what it is to be in relationship with Him. We seek to support, nurture and disciple young people in a manner that recognises that they are amazing individuals with wonderful skills and talents and who have huge potential, not only in God, but in the wider world too. We also aim to have EPIC amounts of fun on Camps, during Youth Events and in our weekly programmes.
For those who are in Years 7, 8 and 9 we have CIA – Christians in Action. This group meets on a Sunday morning during the church service. It is held in our Youth Building (Te Kohatu) and we aim to get crafty and creative in how we explore the Bible and learn about Jesus.
For those in Years 10,11, 12 and 13 we have Switch. This group meets on a Thursday evening from 7 – 9pm (starting on Thursday 15th February) and is also held in our Youth Building (Te Kohatu). During our time together at Switch we aim to not only get involved in some quirky and loud games but open the Bible, discuss relevant topics and support each other in knowing and understanding the gospel so that we feel empowered to share it with others.
For those who live in Little River and are in years 5 to 13 we have Little River Youth Group. This group meets every Wednesday evening from 6:30-8pm in St Andrews Church, Little River. During our time together we aim to play high energy games, sing worship songs and explore the bible and learn about Jesus.
We also have our Synergy Youth Friday Night Events where we invite young people of all ages to join us in games, fun times and meaningful chats.
For further details on any of the above, feel free to get in touch with Katrina Hemsley-McLauchlan.
In everything that we do here at Synergy Youth we seek to show young people that, regardless of their age, they are valued and important and we encourage them to “be an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity” 1 Timothy 4 vs 12
