Katrina and her husband Rich arrived in New Zealand in late October 2014 from the UK. After living in a campervan for 6 months and travelling the length and breadth of New Zealand Katrina and Rich encountered a number of “God-incidents” that led to them staying in and around Lincoln. As confused as they were at the time as to why they were being anchored to Lincoln they are glad that they stayed as Katrina became the Youth Pastor for Lincoln Baptist Church in February 2016.
Katrina, since a young age has believed in God and knew that Jesus Christ died in order for her sins to be forgiven. At a later age she experienced the Holy Spirit and learnt about the Holy Trinity and God’s plan for her salvation and His intention to have a personal relationship with her. At the age of 17 years old she realised she had a calling to work with children and young people. She is passionate about seeing children and young people come to know God, experience God and live their lives following God.
Katrina and Rich have both been avid travellers in the past and love experiencing new places and cultures. Together they also enjoy eating good food, spending time with friends and family and getting involved in local activities and events. Rich enjoys listening to music and exploring all things technical to do with sound he also enjoys driving and motorcycling. Katrina on the other hand enjoys sewing, knitting and all things crafty, she also enjoys reading.
